Dear Holmes Hawks,

Welcome to our Hawks school community. The Holmes Junior High faculty, staff, and administration are here to serve you and your children. Our goal is to prepare students to be successful for life. We are honored that you have entrusted us with helping your child grow, persevere, and foster a passion for learning to become their best self. Holmes Hawks are provided rigorous and applicable learning experiences by kind and compassionate teachers that challenge them to reach their full potential. We are committed to supporting our students through the middle level years using a comprehensive approach to meet each child’s needs socially, emotionally, and academically. Holmes Junior High is truly our students’ “home away from home.”

Hawks have the opportunity to engage in over 25 extracurriculars. We offer 10 different athletic programs ranging from cheer to soccer. Our performing arts and clubs include everything from Jazz Band to Coding Club. We understand that when students are engaged in after-school activities they are more likely to live a healthy and successful life. Please encourage your child to be a part of one or more of these opportunities.

It is an honor to serve our school community as Principal. As an Arlington Heights resident, I am proud to say that I am a Hawk! Prior to joining Holmes Junior High, most of my teaching and coaching career was spent serving the students at Lincoln Park High School in Chicago. As an educational leader, my journey has taken me to Marshall Metro High School and Tilden Community Career Academy in Chicago, Lincoln Junior High in Skokie, and Jacobs High School in Algonquin. I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. At North Park University, I earned my educational leadership license. As a father of four children, I spend most of my time enjoying time with wife and our young family. I look forward to collaborating with our school community to open doors of opportunity that create life trajectories for every child to reach their dreams.

We look forward to working with you to provide a value-added educational experience for our students. I want our families to feel a part of our school and engage with us to prepare kids for life. No matter big or small, your involvement at Holmes Junior High is crucial in the development of our students. Please make sure to contact us if you want to get more involved in our school, have questions or any concerns.

Go Hawks!
