“8th grade students interested in learning more about the AVID program at Rolling Meadows High School should plan to attend an informational session at Holmes during their study hall period on Tuesday October 29th in the LRC. AVID is a 4-year elective course offered at some D214 schools including RMHS. AVID supports students by teaching skills that will help them be successful in high school and beyond. Students or parents with questions should contact Mrs. Taylor @ [email protected] or (847) 472-3638.”
Anime club is not meeting today or next week. To find out IF there will be another meeting, you have to respond to the email that was sent out last week.
SLT WILL meet this Thursday after school in Mrs. Riddle’s room. Please let Mrs. Riddle, Mrs. Bezzaz or Mrs. Taylor know if you cannot attend. Thank you!
Cheer and Poms clinics are next week on Tuesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 24th. Tryouts are Friday, October 25th. In order to participate, you MUST have your sports physical and athletic consent form turned in to the office. Please see Ms. Zadoks or Mrs. Detig with any questions.
Attention 7th grade boys interested in trying out for basketball, the tryouts begin on October 22. If you have never signed up through Mr. Lang’s google form, please let him know you are interested in trying out.
8th grade boys basketball tryouts will be after school on Oct. 21st and Oct. 24th. In order to be eligible to try-out students must have their physical and insurance form on file with the office. See Mr. Dugan with if you have any questions.
Remember that today starts our October PBIS behavior challenge to reduce behavior referrals in the area of “defiance”. Any student earning a referral for “defiance” starting today will have to attend a re-teaching lesson during lunch/study at the end of the month. Remember to Pause, Rewind, and Fast Forward your way to expected behavior this month!
