SUBJECT: Health Update

As Community Consolidated School District 59 continues to prioritize the health and safety of our students, staff, families, and community, we want to inform you that we were recently notified of a positive COVID-19 case at Holmes Junior High School. We have determined that there were no close contacts exposures. Thus, no additional students or staff have been affected. We will continue to provide any additional information regarding potential COVID-19 exposure to our school communities while also maintaining employee and student confidentiality as required under state and federal law.

Positive cases are updated on our COVID-19 dashboard regularly and can be viewed at any time.

We will continue to implement preventative practices at school, including mandating face coverings, practicing social distancing to the greatest extent possible, enhancing cleaning practices, teaching health and hygiene, and using isolation and quarantines to prevent transmission. We ask that you monitor your child’s symptoms at home each day. If your child becomes ill, keep your child home, inform your school immediately, and seek medical help if necessary.
