Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are almost at the end of the school year, and we have a lot planned. As always, it is a busy time, and hopefully this will give you all of the information you’ll need for the end of the year.

Dance-Sponsored by the PTO

• Friday, May 20 @ Holmes from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.
  • Students may not bring guests
  • Families must provide transportation home for their child.

Chromebooks

• Monday, May 23: Eighth graders must turn in their Chromebook, charger, and bag.
  • We will be collecting these in our first block.
  • Any fees for damages will be posted to Skyward. Please check your child’s device over the next few weeks to make sure it is in good working condition.

Class of 2022 Field Trip Main Event, Hoffman Estates

• Monday, May 23:
  • Permission slips and the $30 trip fee are due by Friday, May 6.
  • This field trip occurs during the school day, so students will be able to take the bus, walk, or ride home as usual.
  • Please have your child wear comfortable clothes, socks, and gym shoes. Because they can go bowling, use the climbing ropes, or play laser tag, this is not the day for flip-flops!
  • Students should not bring money or food on the trip.
  • Phones are allowed, but the school is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged phones.

Awards Ceremony

• Tuesday, May 24 @ Holmes  from 9:00 am -10:00 am.
  • Families will be notified and invited if your student won an award.
  • Only families of awardees are allowed to attend.
    • Limit 4 family members per awardee.

Graduation Gowns

• Tuesday, May 24: We will distribute the graduation gowns at the awards assembly.

Graduation Practice

• Wednesday, May 25 @Rolling Meadows High School
  • Students are required to attend the graduation practice at Rolling Meadows High School.
  • Practice runs from 4:00 pm -5:00 pm.
  • Students should be dressed for the ceremony at the practice; they should have their gowns during practice.
  • Parents are not allowed to attend the practice.

Graduation

• Wednesday, May 25 @Rolling Meadows High School
  • Graduation will be held at Rolling Meadows High School at 5:30 pm.
  • Gates open at 5:00 pm
  • We will NOT require tickets this year for families.
  • We are graduating outside, so students and families should dress appropriately.
  • We will be on the field, so sandals and flip flops are not the best option.
  • Students and teachers will be seated on the field, all families will be seated in the bleachers.
  • If your family needs seating for a wheelchair, please call the school office.
